SVKM’s NMIMS appoints Dr Prashant Mishra as Dean of Mumbai School of Business Management

Bombay (Maharashtra) [India], Oct 6 (ANI / NewsView): SVKM’s NMIMS, Deemed-to-be University, has appointed Dr Prashant Mishra as Dean of the School of Business Management (SBM), Mumbai.
Dr Mishra received his Ph.D. and Masters in Management from Devi Ahilya University, Indore, and BSc from Patna University. Before joining NMIMS, he was associated with IIM Calcutta.
Over the past 23 years, Dr Prashant Mishra’s professional journey has included his role as an educator, researcher, trainer, consultant and institution builder in India’s best public and private educational institution.
At IIM Calcutta, in addition to his role as Professor of Marketing (since June 2004), he served as Dean (New Initiatives and External Relations) in 2018-21, leading IIM Calcutta’s executive education portfolio, the international outreach and collaborations, including student exchanges. and the CEMS program, alumni relations and development initiatives, media, rankings, archiving and several activities relating to student affairs.
From 2008 to 2012, he headed the Graduate Program Office as Chair of Graduate Programs for two consecutive terms at a time when IIM Calcutta experienced one of the most expansions. important during its journey since its creation.
During the period 2016-2018, he was the facilitator of the working group responsible for the start-up of IIM Bodhgaya, of which IIM Calcutta was the mentor. He has also been actively engaged with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP) as a board member, facilitating the goal of promoting the entrepreneurship ecosystem in East India.
He is the author of several research papers, case studies and published in national and international journals including Journal of Advertising, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, Journal of Strategic Marketing, AMS Review, for n to name a few.
As part of executive training, he has designed and implemented learning and development initiatives for business leaders, middle sales and marketing executives, and unit heads for over 50 organizations public and private sectors. He has also led programs for senior executives with an international learning component. He has led several delegations of senior company executives around the world for interactions with head office, policy research institutions, local nodal ministries, local industry associations and chambers of commerce, manufacturing units large companies, international multilateral institutions such as WTO, UN, ILO, EU, OPEC, etc.
