For god’s sake, don’t take your electricity from this business.

STAY AWAY…. AGAIN

2 months since my previous review. My complaint has not been resolved since. Engineers do not show up or get the wrong address.
Each time, a compensation of 30 pounds, which is not the same as having to take half a day off every time. Shell Energy is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. For goodness sake, don’t take your electricity from this business.

(Edit) in response to Shell, I don’t want to be called back, don’t bother. I want my case resolved as it should have happened a year and a half ago.
When I finally get to the point of sending an engineer and that engineer doesn’t come back over and over again, it becomes more than frustrating.

This is probably the worst company in …

It’s probably the worst company in the world Nobody listens except a lady who went out of her way (Sandra) a counselor thanks Sandra 1 star again 5 stars for the energy of the shells

Avoid corruption

Terrible business ethics and service.

6 months ago, we tried to switch to another …

6 months ago we tried to switch to another provider I was going to apply for a mortgage so thought I would remove as many accounts from my credit report as possible so I decided to get a better offer and put the new account in my partner’s name. I paid the final bill on June 21, they didn’t let us change because they lost our payment, meanwhile they credited my Experian, I showed them the proof and after a month they deleted it, gave me a final bill of £ 67 which I paid and thought it would be the last, since last month the collection company MIL Collections is suing me for the £ 67 for which i again provided proof of my online banking i was waiting for them to clear the last bill and close my account on my Experian, today i checked and now i owe them £ 107 and I’m 2 years months behind which brought my score down 200 points this company is the worst I have ever seen they put bad credit on your file for fun and make you hunt them for months, absolutely stressed me on this saturday morning when i should be relaxing with my kids having a good time i was put in touch with Andy from customer service who tried to explain what had happened he didn’t kept going around in circles to tell me after 30 minutes that he was working from home and that he cannot access all my information (posts he referred them to), absolute joke of a company

Large bill in the event of a switch to renewable heating

I have been a customer of Shell Energy (formerly First Utility) for 7 years. Recently I replaced the old gas boiler with an air source heat pump and no longer need the gas supply. I contacted them to have the gas meter removed and they made an appointment to do so. They also said the local gas grid operator would have to surrender to cap the supply. I asked about the ongoing charge for gas (around 30p per day) and was told they would still apply until the gas supply was completely disconnected on the gas side. Street. The average amount for this in my area is around £ 800. I have contacted other energy companies who have confirmed that they do not apply ongoing charges under similar circumstances. I have emailed Shell Energy for confirmation and am awaiting their response.

Shell Energy response for residential customers

“Good afternoon, Jean. Thank you for letting us know about your reminder and your final invoice! We always strive to provide exceptional service so I am disappointed it was not your experience.

I have located your complaint and am happy to confirm that I have now requested a team manager to contact you as soon as possible to resolve this issue with you. – Sara ‘

An update after my last review.

An update after my last review. I’m still waiting for a callback from the manager / complaints, five days including the weekend, despite several commitments to call me via fb Messenger Someone called on Monday outside the agreed window and left a voicemail saying that she would try again tomorrow, but never did

Today the final invoice arrived in the mail 3 months after our first request
We had already received a letter informing us that the debt had been transmitted to a collection company
And reminder emails asking us to settle the account, even after stopping the collection, I find that
I’m hard enough without a final bill

So after checking the final invoice that arrived today it is based on some creative meter readings, not the coupons we provided and photographs, not yet fully calculated but the final invoice should be close to zero
I again provided the readings
Is it just me, or am I doing their job for them?

I’m so glad I stopped the direct debit when I requested the final bill, SHELL ENERGY should have a large amount by now.

This company deals with the gas for god’s sake, I wouldn’t trust them to run a faucet.

Please SHELL ENERGY, you do not need to respond to this review, I would much prefer that you spend time responding to me through our open channel. This notice is intended for other customers who can make an informed choice.
