Auriga Research Private Limited, the largest NABL accredited testing laboratory in India, has now expanded its range of services, offering clinical and dermatological evaluation of products, catering to India’s burgeoning cosmetics and personal care industry and in the whole world. Already working with industry leading companies for over 3 decades, Auriga provides chemical and microbiological testing services to ensure safety, performance and compliance with national and international regulatory requirements. The new offering further strengthens its clinical evaluation capabilities to meet the growing demand for clinical safety studies and claims for cosmetics and personal care products.

Cosmetic clinical trials focus on skin safety studies of skincare products during and after development, including normal use safety studies, allergenic potential, and exaggerated conditions of use. Auriga also supports product development through dermatological efficacy testing and substantiation of claims, regarding fairness, anti-aging, hydration, oiliness, acne, instant fairness, skin lightening and skin deodorant.

Dr. Saurabh Arora, Managing Director, Auriga Research Private Limited, said, “The highly competitive market for cosmetics and personal care products today makes it imperative to conduct thorough dermatological testing and have scientific data to back up any claims. With more and more new companies and products hitting the market every day, consumers today want effective and clinically proven products to solve their problems.

Regulations around this have also become much stricter, and as such, our cosmetic clinical trials play a key product differentiation role for our customers, allowing them to launch their products to market with confidence and promote their many proven benefits. . Our vision is to emerge as one of the most efficient and competitive clinical research organizations in the world, providing high quality independent clinical and analytical services, maximizing client satisfaction through our impeccable professional ethics.

Auriga is already working with external vendors to provide end-to-end services in the area of product development and evaluation for the cosmetics industry. But now, with these added capabilities, it has closed the gap in its offerings, making it a single point of contact for all manufacturers looking to develop scientifically proven cosmetic and personal care products. Auriga also offers import and registration services and analytical testing of cosmetic products. Currently, there are a total of 6 testing labs in India, Delhi, Manesar – Gurgaon, Baddi-Himachal Pradesh and Bangalore, performing these tests.
